I took this shot from a small pond at the Alamosa National Wildife Refuge in southern Colorado. I used a telephoto lens to capture lightning striking over distant peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The two prominent peaks on the left side are Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle.
