This photograph of Landscape Arch in Arches National Park was made using a 30-second exposure with a digital camera. During such a short exposure, the stars do not have time to move across the sky at night and therefore appear as points of light. The white streak on the upper left is a meteor and the bright area towards the middle is the Milky Way.
