Lava Entering Ocean on the Big Island of Hawaii

As I was photographing from an overlook of the 61G lava flow ocean entry in Hawaii, one of the lava benches collapsed into the ocean. During a collapse, the hot interior of the bench is exposed, often creating steam explosions like this one. This all happened rather fast. Fortunately, I had my finger on the shutter release and quickly took several shots during the explosion.
