The Algonquins in Canada believed that the northern lights were from a fire built by their creator Nanahbozho. His fire was burning brightly when I captured this image during a trip to Yellowknife, Canada in late September, 2012. For a brief time on this night, the aurora was very active, displaying both green and red colors.
