I discovered this snow cave above Poverty Gulch, near Crested Butte, Colorado. As I approached the cave, the temperature dropped from about 70 degrees to around 40 degrees. To capture this image, I positioned my tripod as far out into the stream as possible while I remained on land, out of the freezing cold water.
