I discovered these fascinating rock formations near Hanksville, Utah. The pillars of stone in this image are only about 12 inches tall and the only way to photograph them was to lower my camera down a narrow crack in the rock behind them. I had to hike back to my car to get a smaller tripod that could fit in this crack. I then composed the shot blind as there was no way to look through the viewfinder or view the LCD screen on my camera.
