Moon Ring

I captured this halo around the moon while visiting One Foot Island in Aitutaki lagoon. The halo forms when moonlight is refrected by millions of hexagonal ice crystals. When combined with the overhanging palms and the incredibly dark sky, it made for a dramatic scene.
