This image was taken in the San Juan Mountains during the peak time for wildflowers. This spectacular valley is just one of many in the region that has dramatic waterfalls, fields of flowers, and jagged mountain peaks. This storm offered a brief window to photograph the vibrant yellow aspen trees covered in snow before the leaves succumbed to the cold.
